4 Benefits to using Led high bay lights

UFO High bay lights used to describe the indoor lighting that is commonly mounted higher than 20 feet via a pendant or chain,or directly to a ceiling or ceiling girder.

Common uses for high bay lighting are: warehouses, industrial facilities, commercial lighting spaces, retail areas, and gymnasiums.  Below we will look at the three most common benefits with led high bay lights.

Energy Savings

Energy savings is a primary driver for choosing which style lights for your house or factory or shop. Common wattages for LED high bay fixtures can range from 100 watts to 300 watts. If we compare this wattage to a typical HID high bay fixture that same range is 400 watts to 1000 watts.
Consequently, by changing to LED lighting you are immediately reducing your energy consumption by 40%-60%.  You can save $400 per lamp per year on your electricity bill if you switch to LED lighting,

Maintenance Cost  Saving

By using Led ufo high bay lights, you will also see a dramatic reduction in the maintenance of your high bay light fixtures. This is due to the way LEDs generate light, and the way they progress through their functional life. Instead of ceasing to function properly once a fuel source is significantly reduced, LED generated light output degrades very slowly over time. As a result, the functional life of an LED product can be significantly longer than that of a HID Lamp, therefore drastically reducing the maintenance load required.

For example, by converting conventional 400w HID high bay lighting to LED, a typical building with industrial light fixtures can save up to $6000 over the course of three years in maintenance costs alone.

Light Angle

The light or beam angle is defined as the angle at which the light is emitted from the LED source that is the High Bay light. Using lenses, LED High Bays are able to direct their light in a particular direction or over a particular area.

The beam angles is 120 degree.   The 120 degree wide is used for wider area lighting.   The 120 degree aisle lights are great for light down aisles.   If you require an LED light that may light up the space between two closely placed aisles, then you should go for the narrower angle. If you wish to cover a vast expanse such as a warehouse, then wider angles should be preferred as the light becomes more dispersed in this option.

Lighting Performance

Finally, lighting performance is a key factor in evaluating different types of lighting. From the perspective of performance, LED is much higher than HID.

Leds have a multi-point design, which means they distribute light evenly over the intended surface.  Therefore, on a given surface, there is less variation in light levels between lamp installation positions. In addition to the uniform distribution of light, leds also feature a range of CCTs(correlated color temperatures), thus providing a range of options to increase the visual perception of "brightness".

In contrast, HID fixtures produce a “bright spot” directly underneath the fixture with light levels decreasing drastically as the distance between fixtures increases.

Finally

In a word, we can see that there are four factors to consider installing an LED high bay light in your facility. By converting you will see immediate energy savings, decreased frequency of lighting maintenance, Large lighting angle and an excellent in overall lighting performance.
